We know that technology can't solve everything. That's why we work with experienced counsel from across the country to deliver solutions that meet our users at their needs.
FreeWill Fellows are a network of trusts & estates practitioners from across the country that are passionate about improving access to law and increasing the role of charitable giving in estate planning. When FreeWill users require more advanced or complex planning than our online software offers, our Fellows are among the local resources that they may turn to.
FreeWill is committed to offering Americans the most trusted and reliable online estate planning tools on the market. At the local level, this means addressing state-by-state differences in laws, probate processes and customs.
We have developed our tools through a combination of extensive research and the assistance of respected legal experts from around the country.
With the insights of our FreeWill Fellows, we keep our tools current and focused on the needs of the local communities.
FreeWill’s free online tools can provide estate planning solutions appropriate for many Americans, but they are no substitute for experienced local counsel.
But selecting an attorney can be a daunting process. That is why we're building a network of trusted practitioners to whom our users can turn when they need a lawyer’s help.
In this way, we hope to further improve access to law and help our users connect with lawyers well-qualified to address advanced needs.
These Fellows support our mission by providing insight into estate planning considerations important to their local community.

I entered Estate Planning and Elder Law after my father was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s Disease. So I had first-hand experience with many of the issues my clients face relatively early in my life. I am admitted to the bar in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Florida. As my practice has evolved, I focus more on the complex aspects of estate planning, such as business succession, sophisticated trust instruments, and fiduciary services. Before founding my practice, I spent nearly a decade spent nearly a decade working at several of the most prestigious law firms in the New York area. I have been named a Rising Star in Estate Planning and Probate in the Metro Edition of the New York Super Lawyers each year since 2017. I also serve as the Chair of the Legal Committee of the NYC Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.

Practicing law is a second career for me. I spent about two decades in engineering and project management jobs at large corporations while running an engineering consulting business in the background. After leaving my engineering career to take care of my parents, I went back to school for a law degree. My law firm focuses on estate planning, business services, and dispute mediation. In fact, it is the combination of all three areas that keeps my workdays exciting: mediating disputes in a family-run business, so the business and the people can all form estate plans and business succession plans, is one of my favorite parts of my job.
In my free time, I like fixing old Jeeps, flying old airplanes, and renovating old houses.

Zachary brings a unique and distinguished background and perspective to FreeWill. After graduating from Yeshiva University with honors, and graduating from New York Law School as a Van Memorial Scholar, Zachary began the early part of his career working in big law, spending time at one of the most prestigious law firms in the country. After desiring a more direct and interactive experience with his clients, Zachary left big law to work at smaller firms, before ultimately taking a risk and deciding to become his own boss, starting his own practice in New York City, much of which is focused on Trusts and Estates. That risk has been well worth the reward. Zachary has also been successful outside of the law, owning his own tea company named Anxietea, as well as owning multiple racehorses based in Kentucky.
